ROBERT J. ANDERSEN - of Woburn, age 52, suddenly, July 19th. Beloved husband of Patricia A. (Shea) Andersen. Devoted father of Robert J. Andersen, Jr. of Woburn and the late Michael Sean Andersen. Loving son of Jean (Matthews) Andersen of Gloucester and the late Ralph Andersen. Dear brother of Rick Andersen and his wife Kathy, and Roger Andersen and his wife Dot, all of St. Petersburg, FL, and Judy Flora and her husband Larry of Oregon. Son-in-law of Charles and Ellen Shea of Woburn, and brother-in-law of Maryellen Butcher of Billerica, Kelly Rose of Derry, NH, Charles Shea of Woburn, and William Shea of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. OBITUARY:

Robert J. Andersen, 52, of North Woburn passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 19th, at his family's summer home in Gloucester. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Shea) Andersen, with whom he recently celebrated twenty-nine years of marriage.

Robert was born in Winchester, the son of Jean (Matthews) Andersen of Gloucester and the late Ralph Andersen. He was raised in Woburn and attended Woburn schools. Employed by North Woburn Machine for seventeen years, he had more recently worked for Holland's Auto Parts in Billerica for seven years.

Bob loved the ocean, particularly boating and fishing, and enjoyed spending his summer weekends with his family in Gloucester. A devoted husband and father, he loved spending time with family and friends.

Along with his father, Ralph Andersen, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Sean Andersen, who died in 2001.

Surviving along with his wife Patricia and his mother, Jean Andersen of Gloucester, are a son, Robert J. Andersen, Jr. of Woburn, two brothers, Rick Andersen and his wife Kathy and Roger Andersen and his wife Dot, all of St. Petersburg, Florida, and a sister, Judy Flora and her husband Larry of Oregon.

He was also the dear son-in-law of Charles and Ellen Shea of Woburn, and brother-in-law of Maryellen Butcher of Billerica, Kelly Rose of Derry, NH, Charles Shea of Woburn, and William Shea of Weymouth. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Thursday, July 24th at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main Street, Woburn, at 10. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
