KAREN L. JOHNSON - in Medford, formerly of Woburn, Wednesday, January 13th, unexpectedly, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Cherished daughter of Robert Lee Johnson of VA and the late Marguerite Johnson. Loving sister of Michelle Cesvette of Woburn, twin sister Kim Lee Mandle, Shamere Johnson and Destiny Johnson, all of Medford, and the late Robert E. Schlessinger. Dear aunt of Denielle A. Cesvette and Christian E. Cesvette. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, January 20th, at 12 Noon, at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn. OBITUARY:

Karen L. Johnson of Medford passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 13th, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford after a brief illness. The beloved daughter of Robert Lee Johnson of Georgia and the late Marguerite Johnson, she was forty-nine years of age.

Raised in Woburn, Karen was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of '79. Following high school she worked in the retail industry and was presently employed as a sales associate at the Christmas Tree Shop. Previously she had worked for Building 19 1/2 in Burlington.

Karen was one of five children and a twin. She was always a caring, loving sister and friend and, after her mother's passing four years ago, she cared for her siblings. Karen had a heart of gold, loved helping people and was a wonderful listener. In her leisure, she enjoyed movies, especially horror flicks.

Karen was predeceased by her mother, Marguerite Johnson, and her brother, Robert E. Schlessinger.

She is lovingly survived by her father, Robert Lee Johnson of Duluth, Georgia, her twin sister, Kim Lee Mandle of Medford, her sisters, Michelle Cesvette of Woburn, Shamere and Destiny Johnson, both of Medford, her niece, Denielle A. Cesvette and her nephew, Christian E. Cesvette, both of Woburn. Also surviving are many loving friends.
