Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Manzie) Dixon. Having spent all her life in Woburn, she was educated in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School.

Mrs Lucia spent all of her life in the Green Street area of Woburn, and it was at her home when she was fifteen years old that she met Mr. Lucia. This handsome young man would deliver home made bread from his Uncle's shop the "Gold Top Bakery" several times a week and there the courtship began. Mr. Lucia joined the Army during World War II and upon completion of his service to his country he came home and they married in January 1946.

Together they built a home and brought four wonderful children into the world. Mrs. Lucia was extremely devoted to her family always putting their needs first. There endeavors were her endeavors. Her daily routine began very early in the morning and she had a plan for each day, right down to the dessert they were having for dinner. She enjoyed being in her home, keeping it meticulous.

When the children were growing up they would all go travelling by car to the NH, VT, ME, the sea coast, cross country, each summer was a different destination.

After the children had grown she and Mr. Lucia continued taking trips, again by car anywhere in the US. One morning they had actually gone to NY City for Brunch and were home later in the afternoon. They spent many happy hours not just travelling but there was a very special bond between them, and they always enjoyed just being together.

Over the last fifteen years Mrs. Lucia became involved with ceramics. She so enjoyed creating and making all different types of pottery and often giving them to family and friends. She thoroghly enjoyed the company of her dear children, and would partake in all of their accomplishments.

Over the years Mrs. Lucia loved preparing for the holidays. She would have her home emulate the season, and provide an absolutely delightful dinner for her family, and have everything from soup to nuts and all the special desserts you could imagine.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Lucia was predeceased by her dear husband Ernest, to whom she was married for forty five years, and her dear sisters and brothers Mary Bessey, Donald Nett, Rose Lundin, Margaret Nett, John, and Frank Dixon.
