OBITUARY:
Albert McSheffrey passed away at the Winchester Hospital Saturday afternoon, January 23rd. He was the husband of the late Bessie (Gentile) McSheffrey.
Born in Woburn he was the son of the late John F. and Flora( Pattelena) McSheffrey . He was raised in the Central Square Section of the City where he remained all of his life.
He was a graduate of Woburn High School and following school he began working at Beggs and Cobbs. After several years there he began working over at Austin Prepatory School in Reading, where he remained until his retirement in the early nineties.
During the late sixties he had married Bessie (Gentile) McSheffrey to whom he was devoted for the next fifteen years. She passed away in the early eighties.
Mr. McSheffrey was an avid sports fan. He would attend and in later years follow, all of Woburn High School sporting events, and particularly those sports that his nieces and nephews were involved. As with Woburn sports, Mr McSheffrey was an avid Red Sox fan. If he was not there in person, then he could be found at home enjoying the game on television.
Over the years Mr. McSheffrey had a standing reservation at Cousin's Restaurant, where he would daily meet his friends, have a delightful breakfast cooked by Betty, and get caught up in the daily happenings. This ritual he looked forward to for years.
In addition to his parents and his wife Bessie, Mr. McSheffrey was predeceased by his brother Charles McSheffrey and sister-in-laws Ann and Ruth McSheffrey.
