OBITUARY:

Mary June Bratt, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully early Saturday, August 11th, at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard Bratt for nearly fifty-six years.

Mary was born in Boston seventy-six years ago, daughter of the late Leo and Beatrice (Toolan) MacCormack. She grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School. Mary met her husband Richard on a blind date on Valentine's Day when he had just returned from serving in the Army during the Korean War. They married in 1956 and made their home in Woburn where they raised their three children.

Mary helped out with her husband's cleaning business, Bratt Cleaning, for over forty years. She and her husband were inseparable throughout their life together. Both of them loved dancing, and regularly participated in the Knights of Columbus dances in Wilmington, which Mary's husband helped organize. Mary was devoted to her children and always put them ahead of herself. She will truly be missed.

Preceding her in death was her son-in-law, Roy Hallett.

Surviving, along with her husband Richard, are two sons, R. Kevin Bratt of Woburn and David K. Bratt of Stoneham, and a daughter, Marsha G. Hallett of Stoneham. She was also the cherished "Grammy" of Amanda Bratt, and sister of Gail Petacaro of Tewksbury and Alan, Teddy, Neil, Hugh, and Dan MacCormack.

A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, August 14th at 12 Noon with Deacon Phil Hardcastle officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn with services conducted by a family friend, Rev. Mark Jackson of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Donations may be made in Mary's memory to the First Baptist Church, 1580 Mass. Ave., Lexington, MA 02420.
